I'm thrilled to join Devil's Lake Climbing Guides and bring a bit of California sunshine to the heart of Wisconsin. Born and raised in the Golden State, I grew up with a love for sports, playing softball, field hockey, and track and field (100m, 200m, and pole vault). These experiences taught me the value of teamwork and the thrill of constant self-improvement.
My journey took me to the University of California, Santa Barbara, where I immersed myself in the vibrant LGBTQIA2S+, BIPOC, bicycling, and theater communities. Post-college, I ventured to Los Angeles to work in transportation for LA County, and it was there that I discovered my true passion: climbing. Climbing became my sanctuary, a place where I found both community and meditation. There's nothing quite like the trust and camaraderie built when you rely on each other for safety while scaling new heights.
Climbing isn't just a sport for me—it's a moving meditation. The peace I find when confronting my fears and pushing my limits is unparalleled. This love for climbing inspired me to dive into instruction, working with Climb the Gap in LA to promote access and safety for BIPOC in the climbing world and leading outdoor trips for LGBTQIA2S+ communities.
Now, as I explore the magic of the Midwest, I'm eager to share the joy and lessons of climbing. Whether you're a seasoned climber or a curious beginner, let's find strength, confidence, and joy on every climb.
