I love to prepare and inspire people – all people – to appreciate and make the most of the incredible machine they walk around in every day. In my experience, many people underestimate their capabilities; being outside and in touch with your physicality unlocks countless other doors.I was fortunate to grow up in Baraboo with a deep love for Devil’s Lake. However, that appreciation did not extend to rock climbing adventures until later in life. I began climbing at Devil’s Lake in 2004, also spending time at Taylors Falls and the North Shore in Minnesota. Since those early years, I have increasingly ventured further to pursue my interest in rock, ice and alpine climbing.
Beyond Wisconsin and Minnesota, my camping-climbing travels have taken me to The Gunks (NY), Cottonwood Canyons (UT), Black Hills (SD), Tetons (WY), Hyalite Canyon and Beartooths (MT), Rocky Mountains (CO), Sierra Nevadas (CA), and Canadian Rockies (Banff).
A semi-retired communications executive, when I’m not climbing or trip-planning you can find me encouraging and helping others to enjoy life-changing outdoor experiences. I also love to run trails, paddle and bike, solo or with family and friends.
Climb on!
