Milwaukee, WI might not be known as a great outdoor adventure hub - on par with Moab, Jackson Hole, or Salt Lake City - but it provides limitless opportunities for the local to find deep connection with the rocks, rivers, lakes, and trails that make Wisconsin such a special place. I consider myself to be one of those lucky locals. I was born, raised, and have spent most of my adult life in Milwaukee, developing a deep understanding of the ecology and adventure that wait around every corner in our state.
I spend my working hours as a high school teacher, specializing in Environmental Science, Biology, and Adventure Education. I have an awesome job that gives me countless opportunities to lead students on intellectual and outdoor adventures throughout Wisconsin, and beyond. My passion for nature, education, adventure, and athletics lead me to climbing after years spent paddling, backpacking, surfing the Great Lakes, and studying in the great outdoors. Coming to rock climbing as an adult has been an amazing experience and I continue to learn and grow with every trip I lead.
At the end of the day, all of my work, adventure, and outdoor pursuits are anchored by family. My wife and I enjoy cooking, traveling, exploring nature and being parents, which is definitely the greatest adventure of all!
