Carol Fittell

An engineer by trade and a lifelong athlete, Carol finds climbing to be an irresistible blend of problem-solving, physical challenge, mental resilience, community, and connection with the environment. Drawn to both the secluded beauty of the backwoods in Arkansas and the towering peaks of Colorado and Nevada, Carol thrives in the high and remote landscapes.

Her favorite moments include belaying a partner with legs dangling over the abyss, gazing into the distance, and embracing the trials and triumphs of climbing. Through training multiple climbing partners for these adventures, Carol honed her craft for teaching technical skills to fellow climbers.
