I've spent most of my life in Wisconsin, growing up in Wyalusing, a little town near the Mississippi River. My parents still live there and I love going home to visit and wander/run through the woods and around the beautiful Wyalusing State Park with my dog, Wrigley.

I have always been athletic and participated in a variety of sports including track, swimming and gymnastics in high school. After high school I wanted to learn more about city life, so I spent four years just north of Chicago obtaining my bachelors degree in Art Theory and Practice and Pre-Medicine at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.

In college I started playing rugby and rock climbing. Many of my weekends, spring, winter and summer breaks were spent either playing rugby or traveling to a climbing destination. Although I still love rugby, senior year of college a bad head and neck injury during a game convinced me to turn my focus away from playing it. After college I still didn't really know what I wanted to do when I grew up. I have held many different jobs including an EMT, a bicycle mechanic, a fabric saleswoman, and a climbing gym employee. I stuck with the ones I enjoyed!

I am now a paramedic instructor for Madison College, an AMGA Single Pitch Climbing Instructor, and the Adaptive Climbing Coordinator at Boulders Climbing Gym. I love climbing because it requires a combination of ballet-like movement, explosive power and intensive mental sequences. No matter how long or how hard you climb, there is always something new to learn.

Enjoying the outdoors has always been a passion of mine, and I am love sharing that passion with others by taking them into the wilds of Devil's Lake and helping them climb!
