Kendra’s passion for climbing developed in 2006 during graduate school in Western New York. It started in her University climbing gym where the community hooked her. She moved back to Minnesota and into a quite large and very active climbing community where she quickly became active in the Minnesota Climbing Association (MCA). She feels very strongly about teaching and promoting stewardship of the places we travel. Kendra enjoy all styles of climbing and sharing her passion for any of them with others. She also enjoys trying out new sports and competitions such as log rolling, kickball and orienteering, and more traditional sports like skiing, backpacking and scuba diving.

Kendra made history in 2014 when she became the first North American to win a stage of the UIAA Ice Climbing World Tour. This historic success arrived on the speed wall in Bozeman, Montana.
